Blue Fever App FAQs

🔍 Why should I use the Blue Fever app?

Unlike most social media apps, the Blue Fever app offers an opportunity to co-create the FIRST toxic-free digital community. As a member you’ll be able to release your thoughts and share your life lessons with those who will most benefit from your perspective! When you express publicly, other members of the community who can relate will see your notes and respond with supportive reactions.

🔍 What are the community guidelines?

Express freely and be your most unfiltered, true self.

The Blue Fever community has a zero-tolerance policy for trolling, hate, cyberbullying, violence, and threats. In addition, Team Blue Fever will, at our discretion, make private any posts that contain inappropriate language, presumed contact, and/or personal information of users or another person. For safety reasons, we also highly discourage users from making multiple accounts on the Blue Fever app.

See a post that is in violation of this? Flag it by tapping the Left and clicking “Flag” to instantly turn a public post to private. Team Blue Fever will look into why the post was flagged. All reports are anonymous.

🔍 How do I create a page in the app?

Great question! The Blue Fever app was created so you can get and give support during your best days, meh moments and strugglefests from those who can relate.. so definitely plan on creating pages anytime you’re feeling or experiencing anything at all! The more you put into this app, the more good feels that’ll come out of it.

That said, creating a page is SUPER easy! Tap on the + icon on the navigation bar in the app to open the page creator. You can customize it with fonts, backgrounds, stickers and gifs. Click ‘next’ in the top right corner when you’re done creating. Then select the journal you'd like to post your page to. You can post to a public journal (so other community members can positively react!) or add it to a private journal (to keep it just between you and Blue).

🔍 Why was my page blocked or made private?

In an effort to keep the Blue Fever App a safe and comfortable space for all, Blue will hide content or require a page to remain ‘private’ based on what our community has marked as potentially triggering. This is a constant work in progress so if you have any feedback, please let us know so Blue can help serve our community better!

🔍 How does the Blue Fever app support and strengthen its users’ emotional health?

In recent studies, 70% of Gen Z reports they are lonely. When coping with emotional health issues like loneliness, Gen Z turns to their peers for help first. The Blue Fever app combines positive, moderated peer support and self help resources to encourage users to be proactive about their emotional wellness. We do this through a fun and engaging user experience and proprietary AI technology that guides users from tough emotional moments to more positive habits and emotion management strategies. We offer data driven self help strategies known to be effective in various populations. For example, our app suggests methods for “cognitive restructuring” to help users identify negative thought patterns and reframe those thoughts. The result is a more positive mindset, increased belonging, resilience and reduced overwhelm.

Please note, the Blue Fever app is not a replacement for clinical therapy.

🔍 How can I support others in the Blue Fever app?

We love this question! You can support others by creating pages that authentically share what you’re experiencing, have experienced in the past, or are experiencing (and learning!) in your day-to-day life. Another way to support your fellow community members is by reacting to other members’ pages to ensure they feel ‘seen’ and know that others care.

🔍 How do I get even more involved with the Blue Fever community?

🔍 I need immediate support and/or have a crisis situation. Where do I go?

In the event that you have a mental health crisis or need for professional help, the Blue Fever app will direct you to specific mental resources and services (eg suicide and crisis hotlines, sexual assault and eating disorder specialists, bullying support advocates, etc.). We offer support and referral services but at this time are unable to follow up on user referrals to outside mental crisis resources. Here are our recommended Crisis Resources.
